Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Suan Paredes! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Belson slips a jab from Paredes. Nice sprawl there from Paredes as Belson shoots in. Belson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Belson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Paredes to the ground. Belson is now in Paredes's guard. Belson sitting in guard here, content to control. Belson trying to control but Paredes is working from the bottom. Paredes looking for a sweep. Not yet Paredes, not yet. Paredes is trying to keep Belson in close.
Paredes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Belson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Paredes keeping moving, preventing Belson from controlling successfully. Belson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Paredes looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Belson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Belson passes Paredes's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Belson wants to take a breather but Paredes is having none of it. Belson wants to pass the guard but Paredes is defending well. Belson trying to control the action but Paredes is working from the bottom. Paredes is looking to control Belson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Paredes avoid being mounted? Paredes moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Belson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Paredes is keeping the position for now. Belson drops back looking for a leg! Paredes is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Paredes manages to kick Belson off! Belson jumps back into Paredes's guard. Paredes being controlled here, momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Belson wants to control from the top but Paredes keeps moving. Belson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Belson is working hard here to advance position. Belson pushes down on Paredes's leg and manages to get into half guard. Belson is trying to work for a kimura but Paredes is defending well.
