Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Cena! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Benny Chaos! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cena dives in and scores a takedown into Chaos's guard. Cena content to stall in guard here. Chaos trying to keep a closed guard but Cena is proving a slippery customer.
Cena slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cena wants to stand but Chaos has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Cena showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cena chips away with some ground and pound. Cena trying to stand up but can't free himself from Chaos's guard. Cena postures up.
Cena has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Chaos is proving hard to escape from.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Cena has closed the distance and engaged Chaos in a clinch.
Cena manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cena tries to land a sweep but no joy. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cena is on top in guard.
Cena sitting in guard, not really doing much. Cena drops back looking for a leg! Chaos is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Chaos manages to kick Cena off! Cena jumps back into Chaos's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cena showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Cena looking to pass the guard. Cena pushes down on Chaos's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Well, if Cena is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Cena works his way into full mount! Chaos looks winded! Cena lands a big shot there that rocks Chaos but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cena working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Chaos turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Cena off and cradles Chaos's limp body as Cena celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). John Cena!
