Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seth West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan McManus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McManus has chosen Devil Went Down to Georgia as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Seth West! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan McManus! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McManus keeps the fight on the outside. West wants to clinch. West clinches up with McManus and pushes him back against the cage. West blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. West postures up.
McManus wants to sweep but no luck. McManus not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
McManus working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. West doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. West manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. West wants to control from the top but McManus keeps moving. West looking to pass the guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now McManus is on top in guard.

McManus tries to free his leg and advance position but West is retaining full guard. McManus preventing the sweep. McManus postures up in West's guard and throws a big left but West blocks it. McManus being controlled here momentarily. McManus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. West swivels though and keeps the full guard. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. West misses with a jab, cross combination.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. West tries to clinch but McManus is having none of it. West gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. West manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
West prevents McManus from getting the reversal. McManus in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. McManus is trying desperately to improve position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McManus is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. West trying to control but McManus is having none of it. McManus can't escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. West wants to control the pace but McManus is squirming around nicely. McManus is working to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. West swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and McManus is now in West's guard. A big mistake from West there, giving up the dominant position! Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! West tries to land a sweep but no joy. McManus drops back looking for a leg! West is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and West manages to kick McManus off! McManus jumps back into West's guard. McManus tries to free his leg and advance position but West is retaining full guard. West looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. West is trying to control the position from the bottom.
West wants to sweep but no luck. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Dan McManus will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
McManus fails in his attempt to clinch. West misses with a takedown and McManus decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in West's guard. McManus preventing the sweep. West controls McManus momentarily but McManus frees himself. West is really struggling to control McManus but he's trying to hold on to the position. McManus tries to free his leg and advance position but West is retaining full guard. McManus slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. McManus tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McManus has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! West gets back to half guard. McManus is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for West! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. McManus fails with an attempt to clinch.

and McManus counters into the clinch. Nicely done. West leaning against his opponent.

McManus looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? West is fending him off so far but McManus persists. Nope, West circles away and we're back to standing. McManus has taken the fight to the clinch.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Seth West. That's going to take a lot out of him. A bit of stalling here from West.
West lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt McManus or not. West wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but McManus has him pressed against the cage. West working aggressively here.
West looks to throw an elbow but misses. West works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

West wants to clinch but McManus slips to the side and McManus counters with a nice double leg into side control. West won't be happy with that. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McManus is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, West has escaped the position, nice work there. McManus working away. McManus works to advance to full mount. West defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. McManus is standing up, even though he is in mount. McManus moves into the clinch. West wants to break the clinch but can't.

McManus breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
West gets the takedown into side control. West trying to control the position but McManus is working away. McManus manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. McManus moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. McManus looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

West lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. West is looking to work some ground and pound but McManus has wrist control.

McManus has West pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. West manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McManus stops a takedown attempt from West.

Dan McManus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
West feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. West not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. McManus looking for a guillotine here but West defends easily.
McManus is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! West rolls with it to try and escape but McManus cranks on the arm and West is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
