Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Colombu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevaughn Aldridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aldridge comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Smooth Criminal By Michael Jackson kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Colombu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kevaughn Aldridge!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Steve Montenegro and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Aldridge, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Aldridge tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Colombu has closed the distance and engaged Aldridge in a clinch.
Colombu scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Aldridge manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Colombu goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Colombu lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Aldridge backwards.
Colombu doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Aldridge breaks the clinch.
Aldridge throws a series of punches but Colombu moves out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Colombu darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Colombu swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A looping hook to the body misses from Colombu. Aldridge does a little dance to reset his feet.
Aldridge throws a counter combo.
Colombu swings for the body but Aldridge moves out of range.
Colombu will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Colombu is looking to clinch but Aldridge is avoiding it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Aldridge on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Colombu, as that shot connected.
Aldridge is rocked!
Joe Colombu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aldridge fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Colombu, pushing him back against the cage.
Aldridge is still on wobbly legs! Can Colombu finish him?
We've been hearing reports that Colombu has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Colombu escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Colombu connects with a body shot that sends Aldridge's belly button to the back.
Colombu drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Aldridge's head, knocking him out cold! Colombu is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Joe Colombu!
