Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hubert Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beast has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. The Beast will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, The Beast! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Patterson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Beast unleashes a big counter combination but Patterson bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Patterson throws a head kick that misses. Beast moves into the clinch. Beast manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Beast looks winded! Beast is working an open guard so Patterson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Beast scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Patterson throws Beast to one side and escapes! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A clash of legs there as Beast blocks the low kick. Beast drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Patterson defends it well. Beast checks a low kick from Patterson. Patterson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Beast throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Patterson counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Beast feints the counter takedown. Beast avoids the head kick by Patterson.
Beast fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Patterson sprawls well initially but Beast persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Patterson is controlling Beast's trapped leg to prevent Beast from advancing to side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Patterson is trying to stand up here but Beast is controlling him well. Patterson manages to get to full guard.
Patterson has his hands on Beast's head, controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Patterson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Patterson escapes and gets back to his feet. Beast drives through with a takedown into guard. Patterson kicks Beast off and gets to his feet. This has been an exciting period of action! Patterson throws a head kick that misses. The Beast seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Beast walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beast sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Beast ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Patterson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Beast forces Patterson back against the cage and clinches. Patterson successfully pulls guard.
Patterson uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Beast takes one on the button. Patterson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Patterson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Beast wants to break free but Patterson has control.
Patterson drags the fight down to the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action! Patterson has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Beast has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Patterson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Patterson gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Patterson stands and steps away. Beast gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Patterson thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Beast if he has to take too many more of those.

Hubert Patterson dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Patterson darts in and clinches Beast up against the cage. Patterson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Beast regains guard immediately. Beast wants to get back to his feet but Patterson passes into half guard.
Patterson performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Patterson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Patterson gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Beast is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Patterson throws a head kick that misses. Patterson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Beast avoids the head kick by Patterson.
Beast closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Beast tightens his grip and picks Patterson up, before dumping him to the ground. Patterson manages to land in guard. Patterson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Patterson jumps guard.
Patterson has his feet on Beast's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Patterson tries a head kick but it misses.
Patterson throws a sloppy head kick and Beast moves out of range easily. Beast wants to counter with a clinch but Patterson pushes him away. Patterson closes the distance and pushes Beast back into the cage. Beast turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Patterson bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Beast blocks a head kick by Patterson.
Beast blocks a low kick nicely. The Beast is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Beast feints and as Patterson raises his hands in defense, Beast changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Patterson wriggles free and stands up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beast drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Patterson bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Patterson misses with a body kick. Despite the aggression on Beast's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Beast takes the fight into the clinch. Patterson drags the fight down to the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action! Beast prevents Patterson from getting back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Beast being controlled here momentarily. Patterson kicks Beast off and gets to his feet. Patterson lands a head shot. Patterson misses with a head kick.

Hubert Patterson dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Patterson clinches up against the cage. Beast on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Patterson has hold of one of Beast's legs. Beast is fighting the takedown attempt but Patterson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Patterson stands up and waves to Beast to follow him. Patterson throws an overhand right that lands on Beast's shoulder, as Beast tries to avoid the shot. Patterson gets the takedown into side control. Patterson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Patterson decides to take the fight back to the feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Beast shoots in and gets a takedown into Patterson's guard. Patterson scrambles and gets back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Patterson ducks under a wild hook from Beast. Excellent takedown into side control there by Patterson. Beast wants to get back to his feet but Patterson is dominant here and he's now got Beast's back! Beast fending off the submission attempt from Patterson. Patterson patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Patterson is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
