Ysengrin comes into the arena with Cheeky Nandos blaring out of the sound system. Karelin has chosen Russian National Anthem as his entrance music. Vitaly Karelin is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ysengrin clobbers Karelin with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

And Karelin tries to counter it with a takedown but Ysengrin pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Dave Ysengrin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Karelin lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Ysengrin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ysengrin throws a looping overhand right but Karelin ducks down to avoid it.
Ysengrin takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

It looks like Vitaly Karelin has been cut.
Karelin shoots in looking for a takedown but Ysengrin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Karelin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Ysengrin went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Karelin shoots for a double leg takedown but Ysengrin sprawls well. He's pushed Karelin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ysengrin fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Karelin misses with an uppercut. Ysengrin saw that one coming.
Karelin has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Karelin closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ysengrin did well to prevent Karelin getting side control.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Karelin lands a nice short elbow.

Karelin uses his free foot to push down on Ysengrin's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ysengrin.

Ysengrin is squirming around, avoiding Karelin's attempts to control the action.
Ysengrin seems to have got his legs back now.
Karelin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Karelin scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Whack. That's a big, big shot from Karelin! Ysengrin is out cold! This one is all over!

Vitaly Karelin seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
The defeated Dave Ysengrin had this to say: 'Lads, lets gang rape this poor scum. No one cheap shots me and gets away with it.'.
