Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Stubb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TJ Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael Stubb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, TJ Fisher!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Fisher.
Stubb has a takedown stuffed.
Oooh a lovely combination from Fisher sends Stubb down but not out. Fisher dives into side control looking to finish.


It looks like Michael Stubb has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stubb tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fisher wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stubb looking for a sweep but Fisher has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Fisher tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Fisher trying to control but Stubb is having none of it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Fisher takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Fisher can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Stubb is looking to escape.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Fisher decides to return to a standing position.
Fisher scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Fisher throws a jab when Stubb was well out of range.
Fisher connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Stubb's hands.
Fisher swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The fight stays on the outside here - Fisher looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Stubb moves away from the strike by Fisher.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Fisher misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Stubb.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

TJ Fisher dominated that round.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Stubb avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
TJ Fisher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fisher thows a left - swing and a miss!
Stubb bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Nice uppercut there from Fisher.
Fisher loads up on a big right hand but Stubb slips the punch.

Stubb tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fisher swivels and escapes.

Fisher tries to clinch but Stubb is having none of it.

Stubb feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Stubb passes Fisher's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Fisher tries to kick Stubb off but Stubb keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Stubb wants to free his trapped foot but Fisher is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Stubb uses his free foot to push down on Fisher's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Fisher.
Fisher is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stubb wants to control but Fisher has made it back to half guard. Nice work.

Stubb uses his free foot to push down on Fisher's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Fisher.
Stubb is stalling here but it's allowed Fisher to get half guard.
Stubb wants to pass the guard but Fisher is defending well.

Fisher makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Fisher.
Stubb pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fisher is keeping the position for now.
Fisher is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Stubb is controlling him.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Stubb passes Fisher's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Stubb looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Stubb is looking to pass Fisher's guard but actually Fisher recovers to full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fisher wants to stand and escape but Stubb is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Michael Stubb will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Stubb changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fisher tries to avoid it but Stubb manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fisher to the ground. Fisher escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Fisher scores with a one two! Stubb had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Stubb shoots in but no luck this time.
Stubb tries to move into range but Fisher moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.


Michael Stubb's cut is getting worse.
Fisher misses with an uppercut. Stubb saw that one coming.
Today's fight clock is brought to you by... OOOH that's a huge shot by Fisher! Stubb is in big trouble here - the ref steps in to save him and this one is all over!
