Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Keaton Hammersmash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lance Uppercut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Keaton Hammersmash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lance Uppercut!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammersmash wants to clinch.

Uppercut bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hammersmash's guard.

Uppercut stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hammersmash swivels though and keeps the full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Hammersmash shoots in for a double leg but Uppercut sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Uppercut ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hammersmash moves away.
Hammersmash just misses with a punch to the body.

Uppercut feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Uppercut is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hammersmash can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Hammersmash really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee warns Hammersmash that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Uppercut jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Hammersmash manages to avoid the submission attempt.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Uppercut not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Hammersmash is working an open guard so Uppercut takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Hammersmash changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Uppercut tries to avoid it but Hammersmash manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Uppercut to the ground. Uppercut escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Hammersmash is rocked!

Uppercut closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Oh Hammersmash is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hammersmash is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Uppercut is controlling him well.

Uppercut connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hammersmash some visible discomfort.

Hammersmash is in a bad position with Uppercut working for a choke. Hammersmash manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.

Hammersmash postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Uppercut is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hammersmash, into his guard.

Uppercut looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hammersmash with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Lance Uppercut showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Well Uppercut has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
