Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mario Kate!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Kate with that takedown attempt.
Kate tries to close the distance and clinch up but Curry swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kate shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Curry but Curry pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Curry really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Federico Curry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mario Kate.
Kate shoots in and bounces Curry off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Curry uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Kate shoots in looking for a takedown but Curry manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kate's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Curry has taken the fight to the clinch.

Curry manages to break the clinch.
Curry closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
You can see the frustration on Kate's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Curry creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kate sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Kate tries to buck Curry off but Curry is having none of it.
Kate is trying to work for a sweep but Curry has mounted him!
Kate looks winded!
Curry is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Curry extends the arm and Kate is forced to tap!
