The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crowd manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lopez on his heels. He'll look to pass Lopez's guard now, I'm sure.

Crowd is in close to Lopez's body, working some short punches and elbows.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Crowd avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lopez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Crowd can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Crowd trying to control but Lopez is working from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Crowd throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Lopez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Crowd shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Crowd was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
