Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fractured But Whole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fractured But Whole! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Young! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Young shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has But Whole pinned against the cage. But Whole gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Nice body punch from But Whole. But Whole cracks Young with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. But Whole jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Young looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? But Whole is fending him off so far but Young persists. Nope, But Whole circles away and we're back to standing. Young looks for a takedown but But Whole sprawls well. Fractured But Whole has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Young. But Whole works the jab nicely. We've been told by But Whole's head coaches at World Class Elite Gym (14 elites) $1000 that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. But Whole misses with a wild combination.
Young throws out a counter right but But Whole avoids it with no problem. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Young clinches up against the cage. But Whole scores with a shot to the side of Young's head. Young blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
But Whole stops a takedown attempt from Young.
That's one minute gone in the round. Young drops down looking for an ankle pick but But Whole pulls his leg out and moves away.
But Whole lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Young fails with a takedown attempt. But Whole works Young's body with a nice hook. But Whole scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Young doesn't seem bothered though. But Whole has closed the distance and engaged Young in a clinch.

But Whole connects with a body shot that sends Young's belly button to the back. Young takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. But Whole connects with a looping right hand.

A jab from But Whole finds it's way through Young's defenses. Jab from But Whole. Young dives in for a single leg takedown but But Whole sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. But Whole fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. But Whole lands a jab to the nose. But Whole cracks Young with a right hand to the side of the head. But Whole throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Young stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. But Whole changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. But Whole connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. But Whole wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Young takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
But Whole dips down and scores with a jab to the body. But Whole paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. But Whole lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. But Whole is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Young shoots in but But Whole avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Young goes for a double leg but But Whole avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as But Whole continues to drive forward. But Whole lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. But Whole comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Young shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. But Whole manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Young wants to control from the top but But Whole keeps moving. Young postures up in But Whole's guard and throws a big left but But Whole blocks it. But Whole seems keen to control Young's posture. But Whole looking for a sweep. Not yet But Whole, not yet. Young controls from within his opponent's guard. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. But Whole is controlling Young's posture. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fractured But Whole dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
But Whole stuffs the takedown attempt from Young. Young gets slowly back to his feet. Young looking for a takedown here - he's got it. But Whole really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Young stopping the sweep attempt from But Whole. Young is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Young trying to control but But Whole is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Young controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. But Whole is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Young can do to turn this around? Young trying to control the position from guard on top but But Whole is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Young looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. But Whole tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Young was well out of range. Poor timing from But Whole. A right-left combo lands from But Whole. But Whole connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's two minutes gone in the round. But Whole lands an overhand right. No joy there for But Whole, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
But Whole scores with a punch to the head. But Whole will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A short body shot lands from But Whole as the two fighters clinch.
Young has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. But Whole lands with a right to the head. Young goes for a takedown in the clinch but But Whole prevents it.
But Whole breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. But Whole scores with a body shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. But Whole paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. But Whole jabs at Young's body. But Whole moves into range and connects with a jab. Young has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Young there as he acknowledges the shot. But Whole jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
But Whole thuds his right hand into Young's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Good standup being displayed there by But Whole as he connects with a hook. But Whole scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. But Whole lands a slapping body shot.

Fractured But Whole dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Young drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. But Whole scrambles and gets back to his feet.
But Whole moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Young fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
But Whole scores to the head and body with a nice combination! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! But Whole throws a series of strikes that have Young backpedaling.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Young shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts But Whole as he jumps to the side. But Whole appears to be looking for a big counter. But Whole lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Young shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. But Whole defends it nicely. But Whole throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Young on the side of the head. Young takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Young fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Fractured But Whole has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Young. But Whole clinches up with Young and pushes him back against the cage. Young is looking for a takedown up against the cage. But Whole gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. But Whole has had enough of the clinch but Young keeps him there for the moment. But Whole lands a nice uppercut. But Whole comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Young throws an elbow that misses.
But Whole scores with an uppercut up the middle. But Whole pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Young throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around But Whole's waist but But Whole gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Young off to one side. But Whole scores with a punch to the head. But Whole lands with a nice body punch. But Whole moves into the clinch successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. But Whole's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Young leaves But Whole with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. But Whole lunges at Young with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Young's hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Young gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Young jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as But Whole walks away with a smile on his face. Young gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Young gets cracked there but stands up to it.
But Whole throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Young stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. But Whole connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Young momentarily.
But Whole jabs Young right on the nose. Young blinks but takes it well. Young ducks right into an uppercut from But Whole. Young misses with a takedown attempt and But Whole cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. But Whole looks to land a combination but Young avoids it well. But Whole lands a body shot.
But Whole cracks Young with a good jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. But Whole stuffs the takedown. But Whole goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. But Whole lands a jab to the nose. A jab from But Whole finds it's way through Young's defenses. But Whole scores with a shot to the body.
A nice combination there by But Whole.
Young takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Left hook, right uppercut from But Whole. Young tries for a takedown but But Whole sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! But Whole throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Young feints and as But Whole raises his hands in defense, Young changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Young trying to control the position from guard on top but But Whole is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. But Whole is trying to keep Young in close.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Young is looking to work some ground and pound but But Whole has wrist control. Young won't allow But Whole to sweep him here. Young is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Young's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Young stopping the sweep attempt from But Whole.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
And that's the end of the fight! Fractured But Whole showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for But Whole, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
