Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Quinton Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knockstee throws a right hand that Jackson ducks under and follows up with a left that Jackson also avoids with ease.
Jackson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
No luck for Knockstee with that takedown attempt.
Knockstee could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Knockstee has closed the distance and engaged Jackson in a clinch.
Knockstee content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Knockstee landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Knockstee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jackson tries to pull guard but Knockstee won't allow it.
Knockstee creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Jackson's defenses.

Jackson told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

Come on Knockstee - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Knockstee jumps into guard, dragging Jackson to the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Knockstee had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jackson defends it easily.
Knockstee is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jackson is looking for a sweep. Knockstee is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Knockstee is looking to advance position but Jackson won't allow it.

Knockstee is working for a submission of some sort.
Knockstee thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Knockstee is trying to control. Jackson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Knockstee content to control rather than advance.
Knockstee passes the guard and advances to mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jackson blocking the ground and pound.

Knockstee looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Knockstee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Knockstee looking to control and managing it successfully.
Knockstee can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jackson is looking to escape.
Knockstee throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Jackson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Knockstee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Knockstee doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Jackson counters with a two punch combo.

Knockstee is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jackson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Knockstee closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Jackson quickly recovers to half guard.
Knockstee has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Knockstee thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jackson's head.

Knockstee looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Knockstee thows a huge punch but Jackson dodges it nicely.
Jackson looks like he's trying to stand up.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Knockstee is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Jackson tries to lock up and control but Knockstee gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Knockstee throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Jackson because Knockstee loaded up on that one.

Jackson is working to get back to half guard.
Knockstee is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jackson can do to turn this around?

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



The fight moves into the clinch position.
Jackson is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Jackson wants to break the clinch but can't.
Jackson with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Knockstee is trying to drag Jackson to the mat but Jackson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Jackson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Knockstee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Knockstee darts in trying to clinch
and Jackson counters with a right hand to the body.

Jackson gets tackled into the cage by Knockstee. Knockstee maintains the clinch.
Knockstee tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sofeleye Knockstee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Knockstee is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Knockstee breaks the clinch.

Knockstee fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Knockstee closes the distance and pushes Jackson back into the cage.
Knockstee has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jackson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Knockstee keeps control of Jackson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Jackson has Knockstee pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Knockstee manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Knockstee has his hands on Jackson's head, controlling the position.
Knockstee manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jackson manages to get himself to full guard.

Knockstee pushing down on Jackson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jackson is looking to improve his position.
Knockstee content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Knockstee is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Jackson!

Poor strikes thrown by Knockstee there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Knockstee, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
