Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Abdul Leon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BJ Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Abdul Leon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, BJ Penn! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Penn gets in close and instigates a clinch. Penn avoids a wild elbow strike from Leon. Penn wants a takedown but no success here.
Penn gets control of Leon's arms and successfully pulls guard. Penn will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Leon working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Leon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Penn pulls Leon in close to prevent any damage. Penn has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Leon is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Penn. Penn misses with an elbow from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Penn tries to get back to half guard but can't. Penn keeping his opponent close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leon tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Leon has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Penn struggling a bit here. Leon tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Leon lands a nice forearm strike. Penn keeps Leon under control for a moment. Penn taking punishment in the form of punches.
Penn regains half guard. Leon is looking for a kimura here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leon sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Penn defending well though. Penn taking some punishment here, with Leon in his half guard. Penn is looking to improve his position.
Penn moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Penn avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Penn has control of Leon's left arm, preventing Leon from doing any damage. Penn isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Leon stacks Penn on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Leon! Leon throwing strikes but Penn manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leon is trying to get back to his feet. Penn stands up and we're back to a striking position. BJ Penn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Leon fails with a takedown attempt. Penn with the counter takedown but Leon avoids it easily. Leon darts in looking for a takedown but Penn gets double underhooks and turns Leon into the cage. Leon with a lazy takedown attempt and Penn counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Abdul Leon has been cut. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Abdul Leon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Penn.
Leon shoots for a double leg takedown but Penn sprawls well. He's pushed Leon's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Leon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Penn with the counter takedown but Leon avoids it easily. Leon is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Penn gets a clinch. Penn tries for a takedown but Leon manages to get underhooks.
Penn jumps guard and drags Leon to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Leon trying to stand up but can't free himself from Penn's guard. Penn uses the cage to get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Penn looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Leon is fending him off so far but Penn persists. Nope, Leon circles away and we're back to standing. Leon tries to counter by clinching up but Penn breaks away and moves out of range. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Penn scores with a head kick. Leon tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Penn connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
BJ Penn dominated that round. The cut man is working on Abdul Leon's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Leon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Penn sprawls well. Penn wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Leon gets slowly back to his feet. Penn lands a big head kick that sends Leon tumbling to the mat! Penn takes a step backwards and waves Leon back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Leon is rocked! Penn knocks out Leon with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Penn before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Penn picks up the big W with a huge KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). BJ Penn!
