Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcelino Case (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bulletproof - 110 degrees. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcelino Case! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tommy Johnson! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Case closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Johnson did well to prevent Case getting side control. Case is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Case stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Case avoids a punch combination nicely.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Johnson.
Johnson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Johnson misses with a leg kick and Case cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Johnson misses with a double jab.
Case seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Johnson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Case. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Johnson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Case connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Johnson scrambles back to his feet. Johnson looks to land a combination but Case avoids it well. Case attempts a counter takedown but Johnson avoids it well and moves away. Johnson misses with a few strikes there.
A low kick from Johnson misses and Case counters by moving into the clinch. Johnson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Johnson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. No luck for Case with that takedown attempt. Case shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Johnson as he avoids it easily. Johnson fails to land with a series of punches.
A low kick from Johnson misses and Case counters with a lovely straight right hand! Case really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Johnson throws a series of punches but Case moves out of range. Johnson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Case changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Johnson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Case circles away quickly and effectively. Case with a nice cross. Johnson throws a body shot but no joy. Tommy Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Johnson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Johnson looks winded! Johnson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Case counters with a nice double leg into side control. Johnson won't be happy with that. Case tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The strikes coming from Case are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Case landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson is pushing Case's head away, looking to escape. Case manages to hold on to the position though. Case will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Case tries for a kimura but Johnson is defending well. Case thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Case throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Case is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Johnson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Case swings around for an armbar but Johnson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Case's guard. Case trying to control the position.
Johnson stands up from guard. Let's bang! Case tries for a takedown but Johnson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcelino Case. That's going to take a lot out of him. Johnson loads up on a big right hand but Case slips the punch. Johnson tries to land a leg kick but Case saw it coming and moves away.

Case seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. A clash of legs there as Case blocks the low kick. Johnson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Case moves out of range and avoids them all easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Case counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Johnson tries to kick Case off in order to stand up. Case Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Johnson is breathing heavily. Case has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Johnson is working to avoid the ground and pound but Case connects with a decent elbow.

Case seems to be looking for submissions.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Case stands up out of the half guard. Johnson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Marcelino Case dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Johnson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Case. That did some damage! Jab, jab by Case - just one landing. Johnson misses with a leg kick. Case had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Johnson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Case circles away quickly and effectively. Case shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Case checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Case has a takedown stuffed.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Case is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Johnson. Case is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Johnson avoids the head kick by Case.

and Case counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Case keeps control of Johnson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Case controlling the action here for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Case takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Case is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Johnson is defending well.
And that's the end of the fight! Tommy Johnson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Johnson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
