Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes to the cage accompanied by Im Bad... Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Johnson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Doe! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson misses with a takedown and Doe counters by clinching up. Doe is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Johnson pulls him back up using the underhooks. Doe wants a takedown.
Doe is looking to take this one to the mat. Chris Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Doe. Doe drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Doe gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Johnson kicks Doe off and gets to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson closes the distance and clinches. Doe is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Johnson wants a takedown.
Doe is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Johnson can't fight it off and eventually Doe manages to take the fight to the floor. Johnson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Doe cracks Johnson with a solid left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doe missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet. Johnson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Doe controls the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson has his foot on Doe's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Doe works his way back into a safe position though. Doe postures up.
Johnson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Doe is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Doe landing some decent shots from guard. Johnson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Johnson with a poor takedown and Doe counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Doe. Doe stalls. Johnson is looking for a takedown. Doe is looking to take this one to the mat. Doe stalling.
Johnson misses with a punch to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Doe slowing the pace effectively. Doe pulls guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Johnson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Doe seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Johnson trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Doe manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Johnson throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Doe escapes and throws Johnson's legs to the side, diving into side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Johnson can't do much from the bottom here. Johnson taking a bit of punishment here - Doe scoring with strikes. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Doe happy to just control the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Doe scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Johnson shoots in for a takedown but Doe shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Johnson has managed to clinch.
Johnson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Doe's elbow. Doe lands a body shot in the clinch.

Johnson lands a nice elbow. Doe lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Doe connects with a nice short shot to Johnson's temple. Nice strikes from Doe there. Johnson has hold of Doe's hands but Doe slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Doe scoring with strikes to the body and head. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Doe in particular looking to stall. Johnson trying to control here.
Doe lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doe is thwarting Johnson's attempts to control the position. Doe is looking for a kimura here.
Doe is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Ground and pound from Doe.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson wants to control but Doe is keeping busy.
Johnson pushes Doe off looking to stand but Doe dives back in and keeps control.
Doe is pressing down on Johnson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Johnson is holding on for now.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Johnson darts in and clinches Doe up against the cage. Doe presses Johnson against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Doe tries to pull guard but Johnson holds him up against the cage and eventually Doe drops back down to his feet.
Doe tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Johnson just stands there and leans against the cage. Chris Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Doe. Doe is trying to trip Johnson. He has hold of a leg but Johnson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Doe persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Doe sitting in guard here, content to control. Doe postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Johnson trying to keep a closed guard but Doe is proving a slippery customer.

John Doe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Johnson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Doe wants to counter the offense by Johnson and move into the clinch position. Johnson tries for a takedown but Doe circles away easily and Doe counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Doe content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Johnson wants to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Doe keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Doe moves into full mount! Johnson won't be happy about that! Johnson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Doe has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Doe scoring with strikes but Johnson is staying in there. Doe looking to control and managing it successfully. Doe lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Johnson hang on? Johnson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Doe controlling the pace for now. Johnson tries to lock up and control but Doe gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Johnson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Doe working Johnson over with strikes here. That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Doe scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Johnson?
Doe putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Doe lands a couple of good shots and Johnson has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Doe trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Johnson doesn't escape. Doe is working the ground and pound. Can Johnson escape? Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! Doe connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Johnson to escape the position.

Johnson rushes Doe and presses him up against the cage. Johnson is pressed up against the cage. Doe has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Johnson down to the mat. Johnson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Nice takedown defense from Doe. No joy for Johnson on that attempt. Johnson fails with a takedown attempt. Johnson sets himself, and Doe steps forward looking for the clinch! Johnson avoids it this time. Doe throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Johnson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Doe's waist but Doe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnson off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Johnson moves into range and clinches up with Doe. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson blocks a body shot from Doe. Doe doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Johnson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Doe.

Doe has clasped his hands together around Johnson's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Johnson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Doe wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Doe takes a little break here. Johnson wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Johnson tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson is trying to control Doe's posture but Doe avoids it. Johnson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Doe asserts his dominance and retains side control. Doe happy to just control the position for now.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Johnson instigates a clinch. Doe gets a trip takedown into half guard. John Doe has got the better of the ground game so far. Johnson missing with punches from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doe wants to stand but Johnson has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Doe throwing shots but Johnson is blocking nicely. Doe is nestled in close to Johnson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Doe not doing much here.

Johnson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Doe's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson trying to control but Doe is working from the bottom. Doe looking to hit a scissor sweep but Johnson is one step ahead there. Johnson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Johnson closes the distance and clinches. Doe is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Johnson can't fight it off and eventually Doe manages to take the fight to the floor. Johnson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Doe is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell? Johnson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Doe's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Doe keeping full guard, as Johnson tries to pass. Doe is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Johnson trying to control the position from guard on top but Doe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Doe swivels though and keeps the full guard. Johnson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Doe manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Johnson has Doe in his guard. That's three minutes gone in the round. Doe stands up over Johnson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Doe connects with a couple of short punches. Doe slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Doe must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Doe advances to half guard. John Doe is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Doe stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Doe trying to pass the guard but Johnson defending well. Doe trying to control the pace. Chris Johnson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Johnson flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
And that's the end of the fight! John Doe comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Doe winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
