Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Roman Aguilar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rob Jackson! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick by Jackson misses and Aguilar counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Jackson misses with a kick to the body.
Aguilar attempts a counter takedown but Jackson avoids it well and moves away. Jackson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Aguilar makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Aguilar as he avoids it easily. Aguilar lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jackson tries to keep at a distance but Aguilar has taken the fight into the clinch. Aguilar lands a hook that snaps the head of Jackson backwards.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee calls for Aguilar to work.

Aguilar prevents Jackson from breaking the clinch. Jackson letting Aguilar take a breather here. Jackson is trying to break free. Aguilar tries to pull guard but Jackson won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Jackson is trying to force a seperation but Aguilar has the dominant position. Jackson looks winded! Jackson misses with a knee strike.

Aguilar is defending well against a takedown attempt. Roman Aguilar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rob Jackson. Jackson wants to break the clinch but can't.
Jackson lands on the inside with an uppercut. Jackson lands a right hand that snaps the head of Aguilar backwards. Jackson is trying to push Aguilar away but Aguilar has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aguilar jumps guard and drags Jackson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Aguilar looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Aguilar has Jackson pulled in close to control his posture. Aguilar's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Aguilar trying to control the position.
Jackson is fighting to break Aguilar's control of his arms but Aguilar is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Aguilar wants to stand and escape but Jackson is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Aguilar keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Jackson throws a right hand that Aguilar ducks under and follows up with a left that Aguilar also avoids with ease. Jackson lands with a thumping leg kick.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Jackson tries a head kick but it misses.
Aguilar lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Jackson misses with a takedown and Aguilar counters with a three punch combo that has Jackson backing up. Jackson nods at Aguilar to acknowledge the strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roman Aguilar dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Roman Aguilar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jackson throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Jackson unleashes a big counter combination but Aguilar bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Aguilar shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jackson but Jackson pushes him off and we're back to square one. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Aguilar takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Jackson is rocked! Aguilar grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Jackson takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Aguilar cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
