France comes into a darkened arena with his song building. bring me to life kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Richmond Finch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
37 - 21 - 1, fighting out of New York, Darwin France! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Finch lands a jab to the nose. Finch misses with a kick to the body and France counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Finch throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
France dives in for a single leg takedown but Finch sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. France throws a series of punches but Finch avoids them all with ease. France is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. A big right from Finch misses. Finch looks to throw the jab but France is out of range. France swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. France throws an overhand right that lands on Finch's shoulder, as Finch tries to avoid the shot. Finch quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Finch fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Finch ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Finch bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Finch is looking to counter with a body kick. France uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Finch. A momentary lapse in concentration from Finch enables France to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Finch manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Finch wriggles free and stands up. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. France staying out of range there. Richmond Finch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

letting France counter with a right hand. France throws a nice inside leg kick. France avoids a low kick by using good footwork. France throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Finch scoring well with a low kick there.
Finch misses with a hook. Finch fakes high and swings low for a body shot but France manages to avoid it. Finch throws an uppercut from half a mile away. France sees it coming and avoids it easily. France uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Finch. France is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Finch scores with a crisp jab that stopped France in his tracks.
It looks like Darwin France has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Finch jabs France to the body, keeping him at a distance. A head kick by France misses and Finch makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Finch lands a slapping body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. France tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Jab, jab by France - just one landing. Finch catches France with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! A nice leg kick lands there from Finch. Finch looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Finch listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Finch lands with a right hand.
France is rocked! Finch misses with a left hand and France counters with a straight right hand. France fails to land the takedown. A left lands for France.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Finch misses with a hook. Nice sprawl there from Finch as France shoots in. Richmond Finch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Darwin France. Finch throws a head kick but France moves out of range.
Finch tries to land a front kick but France steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. A nice leg kick lands there from Finch. Richmond Finch is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Finch throws a hook but France avoids it easily. France misses with an uppercut. France throws an off balance right hand
and Finch counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps France thinking. Finch throws a leg kick but France moved away. France is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Finch tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Finch is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by France. And France tries to counter it with a takedown but Finch pushes his down on his head and steps out. Finch shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. France slips under a jab. Finch just misses with a punch to the body.
Finch throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Nice shot lands for France. Finch throws a leg kick that misses. Finch misses the jab. This has been an exciting period of action! Finch gets off balance looking for a body kick and France counters with an inside leg kick. France moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Finch dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Finch waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract France. Finch avoids a kick to the body.
France has his takedown stuffed and Finch counters with a straight right hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Richmond Finch dominated that round. The cut man is working on Darwin France's cut. That's time! Finch's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

France looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. A cross from Finch lands. Finch looks to throw a body kick and France counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Finch! France working the strikes but Finch uses the opportunity to regain half guard. France wants to pass to mount but Finch is defending the position. Finch is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that France can do to turn this around? Finch wants to control but France is keeping busy and won't allow it. My spies in Mello MMA inform me that France has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! France not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. France thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Finch's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. France trying to mount his opponent but Finch defends it. France throws a strike but Finch avoids it easily and moves to full guard. France with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. France lands a couple of decent looking shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. France is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Finch is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Finch has escaped and now he's on top!
France has his foot on Finch's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Finch works his way back into a safe position though. France looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
France can't keep his opponent in guard - Finch advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Finch tries to stand but his hand is stuck under France. France looking for submissions off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Finch stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows France to get to his feet. Finch blocks the body kick.
France moves out of range as Finch strikes. France takes a swing at Finch's ribcage but misses. Finch scores with a jab. France scores with the left hand. Finch knows he should have avoided that one. Finch swings for the body but France moves out of range.

Finch throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. It seemed like France was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. France walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Finch uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by France.
Finch misses with a right hand and France counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. France throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. France is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Finch doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time France. France lands with a punch from half guard. Finch is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. France wants to free his trapped foot but Finch is holding on for dear life with his legs. France has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. France sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Finch defending well though. France throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Darwin France will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Darwin France's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Good leg kick by France there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

France working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Finch doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Finch manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Finch is pushing down on France's leg trying to pass to half guard. France is fighting to maintain full guard but Finch has managed to sneak the leg through. France moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. France being controlled here, momentarily. Finch passes France's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Finch stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. France avoids the body shot from Finch.
France is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. An inside leg kick lands from Finch. France keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Finch tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but France was well out of range. Poor timing from Finch. Finch throws out a loose jab but France uses good head movement to avoid it. A low kick from Finch misses and France makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Finch works the jab nicely. France is still on wobbly legs! Can Finch finish him? Finch just misses with a punch to the body.
Finch fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and France has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. France seems to have recovered his senses. Finch listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. A big right from Finch misses. France misses with a looping left. France misses with a series of wild punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Good standup being displayed there by Finch as he connects with a hook. France shoots in and drives through. Finch sprawls well. Finch lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. This has been an exciting period of action! Finch connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Finch loads up on a big right hand but France slips the punch. France shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Richmond Finch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Darwin France. Finch slaps away a takedown attempt from France, before circling back to the center of the mat. France takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by France.
And that's the end of the fight! Richmond Finch showed his dominance in that final round. I think Finch has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
