Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Neal Brewer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Gibalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Neal Brewer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jan Gibalski!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brewer blocks a head kick by Gibalski.
Gibalski tries for a takedown but Brewer circles away easily
and Brewer counters with an outside leg kick.
Gibalski pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Gibalski has managed to clinch.
Brewer wants to break the clinch but can't.
Gibalski displaying some good clinch control by pressing Brewer up against the cage.
Brewer wants to get back to striking at distance but Gibalski won't allow it.
Brewer is trying to push Gibalski away but Gibalski has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brewer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gibalski looks for a takedown but Brewer sprawls well.

Brewer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Brewer tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brewer has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Gibalski is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brewer wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gibalski, who protects the arm well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Gibalski manages to work his way to half guard, despite Brewer's best efforts.

Brewer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Brewer is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Gibalski looking to hit a scissor sweep but Brewer is one step ahead there.
Gibalski preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Gibalski wants to hit a switch here but Brewer passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Gibalski there!

Brewer goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Gibalski is on top in guard.

Brewer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gibalski is controlling him.

Brewer tries to keep at a distance but Gibalski has taken the fight into the clinch.

Brewer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Brewer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gibalski pinned against the cage. Gibalski gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Gibalski moves into range and clinches up with Brewer.
Brewer looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Gibalski decides to pull guard.
Jan Gibalski has got the better of the ground game so far.

Gibalski pulls Brewer in close to prevent any damage.
Brewer is working Gibalski over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Gibalski is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Brewer presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Gibalski has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Brewer closes the distance and clinches up with Gibalski, looking for a takedown. Brewer pushes Gibalski against the cage but Gibalski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Brewer throws a sloppy head kick
and Gibalski cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Brewer gets tackled into the cage by Gibalski. Gibalski maintains the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gibalski blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Brewer wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Gibalski is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Brewer pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Brewer is trying to force a seperation but Gibalski has the dominant position.
Brewer wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Gibalski has him pressed against the cage.
Gibalski goes for a takedown attempt but Brewer pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Brewer shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gibalski's guard.

Brewer has his takedown stuffed
and Gibalski counters with a three punch combo that has Brewer backing up. Brewer nods at Gibalski to acknowledge the strikes.
Gibalski tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Brewer defends well and Gibalski ends up having to push Brewer into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Gibalski is breathing heavily.

Gibalski darts in looking for a takedown but Brewer gets double underhooks and turns Gibalski into the cage.
Brewer throws a counter high kick but Gibalski was just alert enough to avoid it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Gibalski keeps control of Brewer as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Brewer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gibalski stuns Brewer with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Gibalski tries a head kick but it misses.
Gibalski lands with a shot to the body.
Gibalski fails with the takedown.
Brewer tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Gibalski defends well and Brewer ends up having to push Gibalski into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jan Gibalski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Gibalski on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Brewer. Brewer obviously looking to wear him down.
Brewer leaves Gibalski with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Brewer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gibalski to the mat! Gibalski manages to get full guard.

It looks like Neal Brewer has been cut.

Gibalski goes for a takedown attempt but Brewer pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Brewer lands a right hand that snaps the head of Gibalski backwards.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gibalski escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Brewer lunges at Gibalski with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gibalski's hand.

Brewer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gibalski sprawls well initially but Brewer persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Gibalski manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Brewer connects with a nice looking jab.

Brewer pushes Gibalski back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Brewer is looking to break free of the clinch but Gibalski has double underhooks.

Brewer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gibalski as he avoids it easily.
Brewer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gibalski tries to avoid it but Brewer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gibalski to the ground. Gibalski escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

I would just about give that final round to Jan Gibalski.
Well Gibalski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
