Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lyndon Ryan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andrzej Cipior!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cipior misses with a double jab
and Ryan counters with a takedown into side control.
Cipior throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Cipior pushes Ryan up against the cage in a clinch.
Cipior is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Cipior breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cipior misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cipior cracks the inside of Ryan's front leg.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cipior doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Ryan counters with a three punch combo that has Cipior backing up. Cipior nods at Ryan to acknowledge the strikes.
Cipior pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A counter left hand to the body from Ryan misses its target.

Cipior shoots and misses
and Ryan holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Cipior is trying to trip Ryan. He has hold of a leg but Ryan is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Cipior persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Ryan throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Ryan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ryan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ryan is on top in guard.

Ryan decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Cipior swings for the body but Ryan moves out of range.

Cipior tries a head kick but it misses.

and Ryan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Ryan gets to his feet - Cipior follows without any prompting.
Cipior goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Ryan wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Cipior enables Ryan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Cipior manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Ryan stands up and waves to Cipior to follow him.
Ryan needs to keep his hands up - Cipior had a free shot at his head there.
Cipior fails with a takedown attempt.
As Cipior tries to get set, Ryan tries to push him back and clinch up but Cipior manages to avoid the attempt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Ryan takes a knee to the side of the body.
Cipior prevents a body shot from Ryan.
Ryan drags the fight down to the ground.
Ryan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cipior is one step ahead there.
Cipior gets to his feet. Ryan looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

That was a close round but I would say that Lyndon Ryan will probably get the nod.

Cipior shoots in and drives through. Ryan sprawls well.

Cipior rushes Ryan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Cipior breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cipior tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ryan defends well and Cipior ends up having to push Ryan into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cipior lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Ryan or not.

Cipior rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ryan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Ryan was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Cipior is breathing heavily.

Cipior wants to control the position but Ryan says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Ryan is looking for a kimura but Cipior is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ryan to get the leverage.
Cipior wants to control but Ryan is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Ryan gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Ryan looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Cipior!
Cipior tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Ryan stands up from mount. Strange move.

Cipior manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Ryan keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Cipior decides to pull guard.

Cipior throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Ryan has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Cipior is proving hard to escape from.

Ryan stands and steps away. Cipior gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Cipior moves into the clinch successfully.

Andrzej Cipior showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Cipior changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ryan tries to avoid it but Cipior manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ryan to the ground. Ryan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ryan distracts Cipior with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Ryan stands up and waves to Cipior to follow him.
