Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tyler Walker!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker leaves Pacheco with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Walker misses with a few strikes there.

Pacheco shoots in and gets a takedown into Walker's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Walker can do anything to dispel that myth.
Pacheco trying to control the position from guard on top but Walker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pacheco is looking to take a break and control but Walker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Pacheco wants to pass to mount but Walker is defending the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pacheco is working for a submission of some sort.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Pacheco is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Walker is staying active underneath Pacheco, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Pacheco wants to work for an arm triangle but Walker is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Pacheco is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Pacheco trying to mount his opponent but Walker defends it.
Walker is trying to stand up here but Pacheco is controlling him well.

Pacheco is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Pacheco working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Walker's thigh. Walker counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Pacheco blocks a jab.
Walker throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Pacheco is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Walker can do to turn this around?
Walker feints a jab promting Pacheco to slip. Walker then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Pacheco slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
A punch combination from Walker misses.
Walker lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Pacheco shoots for a double leg takedown but Walker sprawls well. He's pushed Pacheco's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Walker tries to clinch but Pacheco moves out of range.
Pedro Pacheco is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Walker is looking to clinch but Pacheco is avoiding it.
Pacheco shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Walker sprawls well. Walker wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pacheco gets slowly back to his feet.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Walker drives through and clinches with Pacheco against the cage.

Walker is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Pacheco can't fight it off and eventually Walker manages to take the fight to the floor. Pacheco looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pacheco is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Walker frees his head nicely. Oh but Pacheco has switched to an armbar! Walker is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
