Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Carlton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cosh Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlton comes to the cage accompanied by 2Pac - I'm A Soldier (Echale Mojo Remix) . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 42 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kyle Carlton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cosh Boy!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boy avoids a kick to the body.
Carlton throws a shot from downtown. Boy moves away and avoids it.
A big left from Carlton misses.
Carlton scores with the left hand. Boy knows he should have avoided that one.
Boy shoots in for a takedown but Carlton shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

enabling Carlton to counter with a crisp jab.
Carlton throws the left hand but Boy avoids the punch easily.

Boy is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.


It looks like Cosh Boy has been cut.

Boy misses with a takedown attempt - Carlton sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kyle Carlton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cosh Boy.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Carlton checks a leg kick.
Carlton misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Boy fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Carlton is rocked!

Boy is working for a guillotine from mount but Carlton frees his head quite easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Cosh Boy will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jab, jab by Carlton - just one landing.
Carlton swinging wildly here.
And Boy tries to counter it with a takedown but Carlton pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Carlton lunges at Boy with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Boy's hand.
A telegraphed right hand from Carlton misses the target.

Carlton misses with a looping left.
Boy dodges the punch combination from Carlton.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Carlton.
Carlton connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Boy throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Boy wants to work for an arm triangle but Carlton is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Carlton lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Boy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Carlton misses with a body shot.
Carlton fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Carlton lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Boy tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Carlton throws a series of punches but Boy avoids them all with ease.
Boy changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Carlton throws a lazy right hand but Boy sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Boy tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Boy closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Carlton quickly recovers to half guard.

Carlton has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Carlton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Boy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Carlton throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Carlton jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Carlton misses with the combination.
Carlton throws an overhand right that lands on Boy's shoulder, as Boy tries to avoid the shot.

and Boy counters with a nice double leg into side control. Carlton won't be happy with that.
Carlton manages to work his way to half guard, despite Boy's best efforts.

Boy wants to free his trapped foot but Carlton is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Boy connects with a nice short shot to Carlton's temple.
Boy is trying to control the action in half guard but Carlton is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Oh Carlton is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Carlton is refusing to be controlled, as Boy sits in half guard.
Boy scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Boy is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Carlton is hurt! He's hurt bad - Boy fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Carlton from any more punishment! Congratulations to Boy! Great finish!
