Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rico Wilnis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krhu Jako (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rico Wilnis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jako fails with a takedown attempt.
Jako avoids the head kick by Wilnis.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Jako crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Wilnis - the referee stops the clock and Jako gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Wilnis. Jako manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Jako is looking to clinch.
Wilnis appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Jako tries for a takedown but Wilnis sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Wilnis throws a right and a left that both miss.
Wilnis gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Wilnis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jako fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Rico Wilnis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Krhu Jako.
Wilnis moves out of range of the body kick from Jako.

Wilnis lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Jako tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Wilnis moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Jako tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jako swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Jako tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Wilnis just stands there and leans against the cage.
Jako has had enough of the clinch but Wilnis keeps him there for the moment.

Wilnis ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wilnis no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Wilnis pulls Jako in close to his closed guard and prevents Jako from doing any damage or advancing position.
Wilnis wants to sweep here but Jako controlling him for the moment.

Wilnis has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Jako has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Jako drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Wilnis manages to pull guard.
Wilnis pulls Jako in close to prevent any damage.
Wilnis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jako is one step ahead there.
Jako trying to control the position from guard on top but Wilnis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Wilnis wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Wilnis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jako defends it easily.
Wilnis tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Rico Wilnis dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Wilnis dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jako. That did some damage!
Wilnis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Wilnis thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Jako if he has to take too many more of those.
Jako has a takedown stuffed.
Wilnis feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Krhu Jako seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jako is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Wilnis lands a lovely overhand right.
Rico Wilnis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Jako shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Wilnis.
Wilnis is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jako can do to turn this around?
Wilnis cracks a nice hook into Jako's ribs.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Wilnis throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Jako is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
