Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Felton Potts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Evans! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evans looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Potts is fending him off so far but Evans persists. Nope, Potts circles away and we're back to standing. Evans throws a leg kick but Potts checks it. Potts drops down looking for a counter takedown but Evans sprawls and moves away. Evans looks for a takedown but Potts sprawls well. Evans rushes Potts and presses him up against the cage. Evans is struggling to control the position. Evans is trying to force a seperation but Potts has the dominant position. Potts tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Potts really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Potts jumps guard but Evans stands there with Potts around his waist. Potts gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Potts's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Evans fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Potts is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Felton Potts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Evans.

Potts wants to control but Evans is keeping him busy. Evans tries to buck Potts off but Potts is having none of it. Evans on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Potts slows the pace down.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Evans tries to buck Potts off but Potts is having none of it. Evans keeps Potts under control for a moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Potts leaves Evans with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Evans shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Potts pinned against the cage. Potts gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Evans displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Potts. Evans shoots in for a double leg but Potts sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Evans misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Evans looks winded! Evans looks for a takedown but Potts sprawls well. Potts swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Evans is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Evans shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Potts as he avoids it easily. It looked like Potts was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Evans. Evans throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Evans moves into range and clinches up with Potts. Potts is looking to control Evans's arms but Evans gets an underhook and turns him. Now Potts has his back to the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Potts is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Evans to keep the fight standing. Potts is looking to take this one to the mat. Potts jumps guard but Evans stands there with Potts around his waist. Potts gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Evans pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Evans misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Potts wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Potts keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Evans punishes Potts's body with a nice straight punch. Evans tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Potts counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Evans shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Potts counters by moving into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Potts is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Evans is defending well. Potts jumps guard but Evans turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Evans stops a takedown attempt from Potts.
