Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Evan Sherls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Wells (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evan Sherls could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Andre Wells's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Evan Sherls! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andre Wells! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sherls looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Wells! Wells is controlling an arm, preventing Sherls from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Sherls working away from the top, dropping strikes. Wells keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Wells looks gassed! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wells is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Sherls is landing with some decent strikes but Wells is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Wells is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Sherls trying to control but Wells is having none of it. Wells is looking to get to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wells is squirming around, avoiding Sherls's attempts to control the action. Sherls controlling his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wells sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Sherls thows a huge punch but Wells dodges it nicely.
Wells gets full guard. Wells looking for a sweep. Not yet Wells, not yet. Sherls wants to pass the guard but Wells is keeping the position. Sherls won't allow Wells to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Sherls might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Wells has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sherls can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Wells bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sherls's guard. Sherls looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Wells slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Wells tries for a kimura but Sherls is defending well. Sherls throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Sherls is looking to reverse the position. Wells prevents Sherls from escaping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wells is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sherls has escaped the position, nice work there. Sherls regains half guard. Wells is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Wells trying to work for an americana but Sherls has managed to regain full guard.

Wells throwing strikes from guard but Sherls blocks nicely. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sherls is on top in guard.
Sherls preventing the sweep. Wells working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sherls doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sherls manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sherls stands up from guard. Let's bang! Sherls gets a takedown into half guard. Sherls is just content to waste time from the top position. Wells takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Sherls trying to control but Wells is working from the bottom. Wells has his foot on Sherls's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sherls works his way back into a safe position though. Wells wants to sweep here but Sherls controlling him for the moment. Wells keeping moving, preventing Sherls from controlling successfully. Wells has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Sherls is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Wells. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Evan Sherls will probably get the nod. That's time! Sherls's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Sherls scores with a takedown into Wells's guard. Wells wants to sweep here but Sherls controlling him for the moment. Sherls has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Wells had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Sherls is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Wells Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Sherls's back instead. Sherls breaks Wells's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Wells is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Sherls rolls with it to try and escape but Wells cranks on the arm and Sherls is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Andre Wells! Andre Wells is the new light heavyweight champion!
