Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luke Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luke Anderson! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Johnson circles away quickly and effectively. Johnson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - Anderson circles away.
Anderson throws a right hand that Johnson ducks under and follows up with a left that Johnson also avoids with ease. Anderson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Johnson tries to keep at a distance but Anderson has taken the fight into the clinch. Johnson fails to pull guard.

Johnson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Anderson smiles and moves away.
Johnson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Anderson is trying to get back to full guard. Johnson tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson wants to pass to mount but Anderson is defending the position. Anderson trying to control from the bottom.
Anderson has one foot on Johnson's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Johnson tries to clinch up but Anderson circles away and keeps his distance. Anderson looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Johnson gets caught flat footed, as Anderson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Anderson showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Anderson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Anderson misses with an uppercut. Johnson saw that one coming. Anderson drives through with a takedown into guard. Anderson looks gassed! Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet. Johnson is looking for a triangle but Anderson pushes his legs off easily.

Anderson is in close to Johnson's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Johnson doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Johnson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Johnson keeping moving, preventing Anderson from controlling successfully. Anderson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Johnson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Johnson has escaped and now he's on top! Anderson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Johnson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Anderson has an active guard here but Johnson has managed to pass into half guard.

Johnson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Anderson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Johnson gets to mount! Anderson was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Anderson has given up his back here.
Johnson is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Anderson defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
