The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws a series of punches but Ganger moves out of range.
Smith misses with a combination

Ganger with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Smith takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Ganger lands the left hand.
Ganger thows a body kick. Smith tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Ganger looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ganger fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Smith has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Smith is defended easily by Ganger.

Ganger has Smith up against the cage in a clinch.
Ganger lands with a light punch inside.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smith lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Smith tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ganger's elbow.

Smith drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ganger gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Ganger working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Ganger's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That kick from Ganger tenderised Smith's leg. Smith is trying to keep his angry face on.
Smith wants to clinch but Ganger slips to the side
and Ganger counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

enabling Ganger to counter with a crisp jab.
Ganger swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ganger lands with a kick to the ribs.
Ganger lands with a thumping leg kick.
Ganger ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Ganger - that will leave a mark!
A decent looking body kick lands there for Ganger.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Smith shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ganger defends it nicely.
Kolt Ganger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maurice Smith.
Smith looks winded!

Smith steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Ganger. That one must have hurt.
Ganger jabs Smith to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Smith needs to keep his hands up - Ganger had a free shot at his head there.

It looks like Maurice Smith has been cut.
Ganger throws a leg kick which misses Smith's front leg but catches the back leg as Smith tries to avoid it.
Ganger keeps the fight on the outside.
The fighters circle, before Ganger throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Smith's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Ganger lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
