The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Chris Dean and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rampage closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Dawson is trying to escape back to his feet but Rampage uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Rampage controls the position.
Rampage wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dawson, who protects the arm well.
Rampage is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dawson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Dawson pushes Rampage away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Rampage gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Rampage looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Rampage has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Dawson is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Rampage yanks on the arm and Dawson is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Rampage.
