Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rich Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tong Po (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Tong Po was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rich Perez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tong Po! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Po throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Po drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Perez can't keep his opponent in guard - Po advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Perez actively working from the bottom here. Perez blocking the ground and pound attempt from Po. Perez regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Po. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Po got a little sloppy there for a moment and Perez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Po has managed to get both his arms back between Perez's legs - danger averted. Po wants to stand and escape but instead Perez has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Po looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Perez stands up over Po, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Perez trying to control the position from guard on top but Po is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Po looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Perez distracts Po with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Perez wants to control from the top but Po keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Po looking for a guillotine here but Perez defends easily.
Perez's corner is telling him to maintain position. Perez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Po seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Po looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Po looks winded! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Perez controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Perez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Perez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Perez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Perez is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Po ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Po is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Perez's half guard. Po really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Perez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Po trying to control from Perez's half guard. Perez has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Po trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Perez pulls Po in close to prevent any damage. Perez throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Po postures up in Perez's guard and throws a big left but Perez blocks it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Po trying to stand up but can't free himself from Perez's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Tong Po will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Po shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Perez's guard. Perez pulls Po in close to prevent any damage. Po's corner is telling him to maintain position. Perez has a closed guard, preventing Po from standing up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Perez looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Po must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Po pushing down on Perez's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Perez wants to control but Po is keeping busy and won't allow it. Po performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Po is just content to waste time from the top position. Perez takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Po wants to pass the guard but Perez is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Po postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Po with a nice head shot there. Perez looking for a triangle here. Po is fighting it but it looks tight! Perez pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Po is tapping out - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Rich Perez!
