Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sanjeeva Suresh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Wood might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to X Gonna Give It To Ya . Sanjeeva Suresh has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Wood! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sanjeeva Suresh! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suresh gets a clinch. Suresh stops a takedown attempt from Wood.
Knees in the clinch landing for Suresh.
Suresh breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A big head kick from Wood and Suresh is sent sprawling to the canvas!
Suresh is rocked!
It looks like Sanjeeva Suresh has been cut. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Wood cracks Suresh with a solid left hand. Suresh is still in real trouble! Can Wood finish him? Wood with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Wood scoring with punches to the head and body. Wood trying to control the position from guard on top but Suresh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wood postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Wood with a nice head shot there. This has been an exciting period of action! Wood distracts Suresh with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Suresh looking for a sweep. Not yet Suresh, not yet. Wood landing some decent shots from guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Suresh is wriggling around but Wood manages to pass to half guard.
Wood is tying to control. Suresh wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Suresh on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wood lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Suresh can do anything to dispel that myth. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Wood lands a nice short elbow. Suresh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wood. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wood drops an elbow to the side of Suresh's head. Suresh is looking to get back to is feet but Wood passes into side control.
Check out the look on Wood's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Wood looks up at the clock and then as Suresh takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Wood smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Wood is breathing heavily. Wood scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Suresh to see if he's OK. Suresh is not content to let Wood control the position. Suresh is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Wood working the head and body with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Suresh tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Wood scores with a couple of good head shots there.

That has opened up Sanjeeva Suresh's cut even more.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wood with shots to the head and body - Suresh looks very uncomfortable down there. BOOM! Wood connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The cut above Sanjeeva Suresh's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Sanjeeva Suresh's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
