Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Brett Lester! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, The Beast! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Atkins and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beast tries to clinch up. Beast misses with a few strikes there.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Lester enables Beast to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lester manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Lester keeping moving, preventing Beast from controlling successfully. Lester is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Beast trying to control but Lester is working from the bottom. Lester really is a fat lump. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beast trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beast looking to sit in guard and control but Lester gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Lester showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Lester scoring with some ground and pound. Lester throws a big right hand that misses. Beast has momentary wrist control but Lester slips an elbow through the middle. Lester distracts Beast with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Beast trying to control the position.
Lester content to stall in guard here. Lester has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lester's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Lester chips away with some ground and pound. Lester working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Lester connects with a couple of short punches. Lester content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Lester might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Beast controls Lester momentarily but Lester frees himself. Beast has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Lester has passed into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lester scores with punches from side control. Lester cracks Beast with a big right hand but Beast just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beast being controlled for a moment. Lester works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Lester landing a few strikes. Beast can't do much from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lester scoring with punches from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Beast is trying to work for a sweep but Lester has mounted him! Lester controlling the pace for now. Lester landing punches. Lester takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Beast prevents Lester from taking his back. Beast is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brett Lester dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Beast. Lester explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Beast moves to clinch but Lester breaks away and Lester counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lester slows the pace down in half guard. Beast trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

That's one minute gone in the round. Lester content just to control the position here. Lester is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Beast can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Lester lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Lester sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Beast wants to hold on but Lester pushes him away. Beast working to try and regain half guard.
Beast keeps trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lester moves to take his opponent's back. Lester has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Beast's body.
Beast tries to escape but Lester has the hooks in and won't let him break free. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Beast defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Lester's arms.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beast tries to roll but Lester sticks to his back.
Can Beast hold on?! Lester is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Lester lands with a hammerfist to the side of Beast's head. Beast trying to control but not successfully. Beast grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Lester is riding his opponent, not letting Beast buck him off. Lester looking for the choke from the back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Lester scores with punches to the body. Beast is trying to get back to his feet but Lester has full control of the position and if anything, Beast has just worked his way into a worse spot. Brett Lester overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lester scores with punches and elbows. Lester keeps control of the position easily here as Beast tries to buck him off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brett Lester dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Lester drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Lester is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Beast can do to turn this around? Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lester's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Beast being controlled here, momentarily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lester not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Lester lands a couple of elbows. Beast looking to control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A combination from Beast does no damage. Lester was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Beast throws a body kick that misses and Lester counters by moving into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lester pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Beast is looking to clinch. Beast throws the kick towards the body but Lester avoids it. Beast shoots in and bounces Lester off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Beast accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Lester has his foot on Beast's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Beast works his way back into a safe position though. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lester is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Beast throws his legs up looking for a submission but Lester uses it to pass to side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Lester working away. Beast is working to avoid the ground and pound but Lester connects with a decent elbow. A lull in the action here as Lester stalls from top position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Beast is trying to work for a sweep but Lester has mounted him! The Beast has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Brett Lester is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Beast working to try and regain half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Brett Lester showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lester, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
