Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Blake Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
18 - 56 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Anzhor Azhiev!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green misses with a wild body shot.
Azhiev gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Green has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Azhiev avoids a kick to the body.
Azhiev goes for a double leg but Green avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Green continues to drive forward.
Azhiev shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Green pinned against the cage. Green gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Azhiev blocks a head kick by Green.
Azhiev steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Green. That one must have hurt.
Green scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Azhiev misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Blake Green has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anzhor Azhiev.
Green lunges at Azhiev with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Azhiev's hand.
Azhiev takes one to the chin there.
Anzhor Azhiev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Green pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Azhiev tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Green ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Azhiev tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Green swivels and escapes.
Green dips to his left and cracks Azhiev with an uppercut!
A jab lands there for Green.
Azhiev takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Some wild striking there from Green.
Green connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Green lands an overhand right.
Azhiev is rocked!
Green cracks Azhiev with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Azhiev falls to his knees and Green doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Blake Green!
In defeat, Anzhor Azhiev stepped up to the mic, saying 'I still want that title shot. Im the most experienced fighter here and everyday wants to see me smash the champ so lets do it whenever he starts ducking me.'.
