With a record of 12 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Phol Murhaa!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murhaa fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Avery manages to avoid it.
Avery is trying hard to land a takedown here. Murhaa sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

We've been informed that Murhaa has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

and Murhaa counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Murhaa appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Avery throws a looping overhand right but Murhaa ducks down to avoid it.
Murhaa swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Murhaa misses with a wild combination.

Murhaa throws a solid leg kick but Avery takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Murhaa.

Horrible takedown attempt by Avery or perhaps it was just good defense by Murhaa, which made it look bad.
Murhaa misses with a low kick.
Murhaa moves out of range as Avery throws a body kick.
Avery throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Murhaa's waist but Murhaa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Avery off to one side.
Murhaa looks for the body kick but Avery saw that one coming.
Avery was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Murhaa scores with the left hand. Avery knows he should have avoided that one.
Avery throws a wild body kick that Murhaa sees coming a mile off.

Murhaa connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Avery tries to move into range but Murhaa moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Avery tries to work over Murhaa's front leg with a kick but Murhaa checks it.
Avery throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Avery cracks Murhaa with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Avery blocks a low kick nicely.
Murhaa walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Avery checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Avery shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Murhaa as he avoids it easily.
Murhaa misses with a kick to the body.
Murhaa turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Murhaa swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Avery.
Murhaa throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.


Avery is rocked!


It looks like Sean Avery has been cut.
Murhaa dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Avery. That did some damage!
Oh Avery is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Murhaa is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Avery had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Avery throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Avery gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Murhaa gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Avery is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
