PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tron Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kuro Endo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Endo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Name of the Game by The Crystal Method kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Endo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jones.
Jones uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Endo.
Jones walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Jones is rocked!

It looks like Tron Jones has been cut.
Kuro Endo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Endo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Oh Jones is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jones tries to clinch up.
Jones seems to have got his legs back now.
Jones goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Endo moves into the clinch successfully.
Endo has had enough of the clinch but Jones keeps him there for the moment.
Endo wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Jones moves out of range as Endo strikes.

Endo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage.

Endo breaks from the clinch.
Endo misses with a low kick.
Jones tries to clinch up.
The fighters circle momentarily. Endo darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Jones avoids a punch combination nicely.
Oooh a lovely combination from Endo sends Jones down but not out. Endo dives into side control looking to finish.
Jones sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Jones moves into full guard.
Jones is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Endo gets to his feet - Jones follows without any prompting.
Jones fails to land the takedown.
Endo swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.

Jones has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Endo regains guard immediately.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Endo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Jones might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jones wants to pass the guard but Endo is keeping the position.
Jones is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jones jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Endo is retaining full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Jones sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Jones wants to clinch but Endo slips to the side
and Endo counters with a left to the body.

Endo wants to get back to striking at distance but Jones won't allow it.
Endo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Endo is trying to break free.
Jones has had enough of the clinch but Endo keeps him there for the moment.

The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jones lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Endo has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jones is proving hard to escape from.
Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Endo is one step ahead there.

Jones is looking to sinch up a triangle. Endo throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Jones's body to avoid the submission. Jones has instead reached around Endo's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Jones arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
