Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mathew Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rex Brennan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brennan is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Psyched Out. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mathew Hogan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rex Brennan! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A left and a right from Hogan both land. Nice combination. Rex Brennan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brennan has taken the fight to the clinch.
Brennan connects with a knee to the head.
It looks like Mathew Hogan has been cut. Hogan blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. A head punch on the inside from Hogan fails to land. Brennan using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Brennan instigates a clinch. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Hogan misses with some punches.
Brennan crunches a lovely knee into Hogan's ribcage. Brennan is leaning against Hogan and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hogan has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Brennan avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Brennan tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Brennan crunches a lovely knee into Hogan's ribcage. Hogan is trying to stall.
Brennan works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Hogan is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brennan lands a nice shot to the body. A quick uppercut on the inside from Brennan. Brennan trying to land knees to the body.
Brennan unloads a knee to the mid-section. Hogan lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Brennan manages to break the clinch.
Brennan has closed the distance and engaged Hogan in a clinch.
Brennan lands a good knee to the midsection. Hogan won't want to take too many of those. Brennan presses Hogan against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Brennan landing knees to the head.
Hogan is rocked! Brennan lands a body punch in the clinch. Oh Hogan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Brennan working Hogan over with knees to the body. Brennan has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Hogan - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Brennan, and another! Hogan is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!

A very excited looking Rex Brennan made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
