The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murometz shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Thomson is trying to defend but Murometz finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Murometz in particular looking to stall.
Murometz stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Thomson misses with a kick to the body
and Murometz counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Murometz.
Murometz slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Ilya Murometz tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
