Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nanu Negi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrey Koreshkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Negi comes into the arena with Blue eyes blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nanu Negi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrey Koreshkov! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Negi has managed to clinch.
Negi lands a nice shot to the body. Koreshkov gets a trip takedown into half guard. Koreshkov is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Negi bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Koreshkov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Koreshkov prevents Negi from improving his position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Negi is working hard here to advance position. Negi is looking to control Koreshkov's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Negi avoid being mounted? Koreshkov seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Negi is looking for a sweep. Koreshkov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Negi lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Koreshkov.

Koreshkov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Negi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Negi working for a choke but Koreshkov is defending well. Koreshkov is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Negi gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. Negi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Koreshkov wants to control his opponent's hands but Negi gets his hands free. Negi has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Negi patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Koreshkov is trying to stand back up. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Koreshkov can't escape the position.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Negi looking to break Koreshkov's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Koreshkov remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Negi will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Koreshkov tries to break free.

Negi lands strikes to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nanu Negi dominated that round. That's time! Negi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Negi moves into the clinch. Koreshkov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Koreshkov throws a leg kick but Negi moved away. That kick from Negi tenderised Koreshkov's leg. Koreshkov is trying to keep his angry face on. Koreshkov throws a sloppy head kick and Negi moves out of range easily. Koreshkov scores with a spinning back kick! Negi misses with an attempted mid kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Negi shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Negi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Koreshkov is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Negi is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Negi with the ground and pound from mount. Negi wants to finish this one by submission but Koreshkov is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Negi. Negi avoids the attempt from Koreshkov to control. Negi breaks from Koreshkov's wrist control and lands an elbow. A nice elbow there by Negi. Negi lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Koreshkov hang on? Negi lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The referee warns Koreshkov that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Koreshkov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Koreshkov throws a sloppy head kick and Negi counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Koreshkov! Negi tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Koreshkov tries to buck Negi off but Negi is having none of it. Koreshkov tries to escape but Negi is in control. Negi advances nicely into full mount. Nanu Negi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Koreshkov really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

And that's the end of the fight! Nanu Negi showed his dominance in that final round. Well Negi has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
