Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Josh Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Engel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turner comes to the cage accompanied by shot to the dark by day to remember. Brian Engel has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Josh Turner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brian Engel! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Engel drives through with a takedown into guard. Engel postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Turner wants to sweep here but Engel controlling him for the moment. Turner has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Turner looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Turner working a defensive guard here.
Engel pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Turner is keeping the position for now. Turner bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Engel's guard. Turner trying to control but Engel is working from the bottom. Turner wanted to stand there but Engel had control of the position. Engel working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Turner doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Turner manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. Engel wants to sweep here but Turner controlling him for the moment. Engel is trying to keep Turner in close.

Engel looks gassed! Turner trying to control the position from guard on top but Engel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Engel wants to control but Turner passes easily into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Turner tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Turner seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Turner seems to be looking for submissions.
Turner thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Engel's head. Turner throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Engel is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Turner pulls his head out easily.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Turner tries a head kick but it misses.
Engel shoots in and bounces Turner off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Turner pushes Engel off and scrambles back to his feet.
Turner lands a right hook to the body.
Turner stuffs the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Turner throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Turner shoots in but no luck this time. Engel keeps the fight on the outside. Turner looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Turner gets caught flat footed, as Engel shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Engel looking to pass the guard. Engel wants to stand but Turner is controlling his posture from full guard. Engel passes easily into side control. Nice work. Engel thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Turner tries to improve position but can't. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Engel stands up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Engel fails with the takedown and Turner counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Engel! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Turner has isolated one of Engel's arms. Engel looking to fight him off but Turner twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
