Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francisco Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aaron Alvarez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Francisco Escobar! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Lou da Vinci and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Escobar wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Escobar is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Escobar tries to clinch but Alvarez moves out of range. Escobar moves into the clinch. Alvarez misses with a hook to the ribs.
Alvarez has a couple of punches blocked by Escobar.
Alvarez working some nice short punches in the clinch. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Escobar has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. A head punch on the inside from Alvarez fails to land. Alvarez misses with a punch on the inside.
Escobar blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Alvarez throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Escobars head. Alvarez tries to work over Escobar's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alvarez working aggressively here.

A head punch blocked on the inside by Escobar. Escobar tries to pull guard but Alvarez holds him up against the cage and eventually Escobar drops back down to his feet.
Escobar takes a shot to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alvarez pushes Escobar back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Alvarez creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Alvarez tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Alvarez lands a hook to the side of the head. Alvarez misses with the head strike.
Alvarez tries a body shot but Escobar blocks it.
Alvarez struggles to land a body shot inside as Escobar controls his hands.
Alvarez misses with a hook from the clinch. Escobar is looking to control Alvarez's arms but Alvarez gets an underhook and turns him. Now Escobar has his back to the cage. Escobar jumps into guard, dragging Alvarez to the mat.

Alvarez is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Escobar has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Alvarez is looking to defend but Escobar has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Alvarez! Escobar pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Alvarez taps out and this one is all over!
