Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tj Dillashaw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dax Robinson! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Bart Greer and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Robinson scores with a takedown into Dillashaw's guard. Robinson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dillashaw looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dillashaw looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dillashaw! Robinson tries to bench press Dillashaw off him but Dillashaw keeps the position. Robinson struggling a bit here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Robinson tries to buck Dillashaw off but Dillashaw is having none of it. Robinson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Dillashaw's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Dillashaw takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Robinson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dillashaw is working away from the top position though. Robinson wants to improve his position but Dillashaw is controlling well.
Robinson is looking to control Dillashaw's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Robinson avoid being mounted? Still in half guard, Dillashaw seems content to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Robinson works his way to full guard. Good work. Robinson has his foot on Dillashaw's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dillashaw works his way back into a safe position though. Dillashaw stops Robinson from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Robinson controls Dillashaw momentarily but Dillashaw frees himself.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Dillashaw shoots in for a takedown but Robinson shows good takedown defense. Dillashaw fails with a takedown attempt. Dillashaw is breathing heavily. Dillashaw is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Robinson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dillashaw circles away. Dillashaw seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Dillashaw moves in looking to clinch but Robinson pushes him off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dillashaw tries for a takedown but Robinson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tj Dillashaw. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dillashaw will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Robinson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dillashaw. Robinson dives in for a single leg takedown but Dillashaw sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Robinson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dillashaw was well out of range. Poor timing from Robinson. Robinson instigates a clinch. Robinson has picked Dillashaw up - he's going for a ride! Robinson dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Robinson is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Dillashaw! Robinson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Dillashaw is now in Robinson's guard. A big mistake from Robinson there, giving up the dominant position! Dillashaw trying to control the position from guard on top but Robinson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Robinson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dillashaw manages to get himself to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dillashaw is trying to control the position but Robinson postures up. Robinson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Robinson trying to control the position from guard on top but Dillashaw is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dillashaw wriggles free and stands up. Dillashaw fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Robinson gets in close and instigates a clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dax Robinson dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Robinson wants to stand but Dillashaw has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Dillashaw looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Robinson chips away with some ground and pound. Robinson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dillashaw is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Robinson, into his guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Robinson is on top in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Robinson is pushing down on Dillashaw's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dillashaw is fighting to maintain full guard but Robinson has managed to sneak the leg through. Dillashaw wants to stand back up but Robinson manages to pass into side control.
Robinson tries for a kimura but Dillashaw is defending well. Dax Robinson has got the better of the ground game so far. Robinson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Dillashaw has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Robinson but great work by Dillashaw. Robinson gets back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dillashaw seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Dillashaw loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Robinson throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Robinson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Robinson keeping full guard, as Dillashaw tries to pass. Dax Robinson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Dillashaw stuffs the takedown. Dillashaw keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dillashaw is defended easily by Robinson. Robinson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Robinson is trying to get an arm triangle but Dillashaw is defending well. Robinson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dillashaw knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Dillashaw has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Robinson has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Dax Robinson. Well Robinson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
