PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pupan Zod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dana White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pupan Zod!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dana White!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from White.
Zod changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
White misses with a takedown

and Zod counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Zod.
Pupan Zod has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dana White.

Zod has White pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Zod pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending White tumbling to the mat - Zod dives into White's guard.
Zod is pushing down on White's leg trying to pass to half guard. White is fighting to maintain full guard but Zod has managed to sneak the leg through.
White is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zod decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
White shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Zod as he jumps to the side.
A looping hook to the body misses from Zod. White does a little dance to reset his feet.
White tries for a takedown but Zod circles away easily

and Zod counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Zod jumps into guard, dragging White to the mat.
White pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zod is keeping the position for now.
Zod knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for White on the ground.
Zod has White pulled in close to control his posture.

White is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Zod trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Zod wants to sweep here but White controlling him for the moment.
Zod seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

White postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Zod is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of White, into his guard.

White looks winded!
Zod is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

White is looking for a triangle but Zod pushes his legs off easily.
Zod is working White over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

White working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Zod doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but White is tightening it up a little... Zod has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Zod reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Zod taps out! Nice BJJ there by White!
