The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bourdain jabs at Mahmoud's body.
Mahmoud lunges at Bourdain with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Bourdain's hand.
Mahmoud pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Bourdain slips a straight right by Mahmoud.
Mahmoud takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Mahmoud misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bourdain.
Bourdain throws a body shot but no joy.
Mahmoud throws out a loose jab but Bourdain uses good head movement to avoid it.

Bourdain darts in and clinches Mahmoud up against the cage.

Bourdain is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Mahmoud's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bourdain is looking to slow Mahmoud down with leg kicks.

Mahmoud drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mahmoud wants to control from the top but Bourdain keeps moving.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bourdain can do anything to dispel that myth.
