Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stephen Khan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Miklo Renzencko!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Chris Dean and Topper Green.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Renzencko has his takedown stuffed
and Khan counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Nice takedown defense from Khan. No joy for Renzencko on that attempt.
It looked like Khan was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Renzencko fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Khan tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Renzencko manages to circle out of the way.
Stephen Khan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miklo Renzencko.
Khan throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Renzencko looks to land a combination. Khan sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Khan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Renzencko looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Renzencko tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Khan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Renzencko on the ground.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Khan keeps control of the position easily here as Renzencko tries to buck him off.

Renzencko is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Khan gets his way!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Renzencko is really stuck here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Renzencko is trying to get back to his feet but Khan has full control of the position and if anything, Renzencko has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Khan just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
