Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Amba Marovo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eli Logan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Eli Logan enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marovo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Logan pinned against the cage. Logan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Logan connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Marovo.
Marovo has his takedown stuffed
and Logan counters with a series of strikes. Marovo will be more careful next time no doubt.

Logan throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Logan felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
BOOM! Marovo connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Marovo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Logan can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Marovo has hold of Logan's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Logan manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Logan is breathing heavily.
Logan throws a right and a left that both miss.

Marovo clinches up with Logan and pushes him back against the cage.
Marovo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Logan walks away with a smile on his face. Marovo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Marovo wants to clinch up but Logan keeps it at a distance.
Horrible takedown attempt by Marovo or perhaps it was just good defense by Logan, which made it look bad.
Logan fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Marovo is out of range.

Logan throws a front kick aimed at Marovo's knee but Marovo avoids it well.
Eli Logan seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Logan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Marovo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Logan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Logan is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Marovo has latched onto it... Big trouble! Marovo pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Logan is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Marovo!
