Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Julian May (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Baldwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Chad Baldwin was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Julian May! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chad Baldwin! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! May tries to clinch up but Baldwin circles away and keeps his distance. A telegraphed takedown attempt from May is defended easily by Baldwin. May could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. May has Baldwin up against the cage in a clinch.
Baldwin tries to circle away but May has him pinned against the cage. May stalling against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. May keeps control of Baldwin as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Baldwin wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but May has him pressed against the cage. A shot in the inside from May.

May wants to get back to striking at distance but Baldwin won't allow it.
Baldwin tries to circle away but May has him pinned against the cage. May pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. May wants to break free but Baldwin has control.

May gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Baldwin blocks an elbow strike. With the two fighters working up against the cage, May just misses with a elbow thrown towards Baldwin's brow. A frustrated look appears on Baldwin's face as he tries to break the clinch. Baldwin is trying to break the clinch but May is controlling him. May has Baldwin pressed against the cage, preventing Baldwin from circling away and getting back to striking at range. May tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. May working aggressively here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Baldwin takes an elbow to the temple. May tries to land knees in the clinch but Baldwin avoids the damage to the body. Baldwin is trying to break the clinch but May is controlling him. May is trying to break the clinch but Baldwin is controlling him. A nice glancing elbow lands by May. May throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Baldwin wants to get back to striking at distance but May won't allow it.
Baldwin is trying to push May away but May has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Baldwin is trying to force a seperation but May has the dominant position. Baldwin wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Baldwin tries to break free but May pushes him back against the cage. Baldwin wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but May has him pressed against the cage. May lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. May working aggressively here.
May is trying to break the clinch but Baldwin has him pressed against the cage. May swings wildly with an uppercut but Baldwin uses good head movement to avoid it. Baldwin is trying to break the clinch but May has him pressed against the cage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Baldwin wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Julian May dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

No joy there for Baldwin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Baldwin lands with a big left! May is wobbled badly! Baldwin comes in with a flurry of punches and drops May to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
