The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruno throws a shot from downtown. Mattos moves away and avoids it.
Mattos lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bruno at a distance.
Bruno swings widly with a right hand
and Mattos counters with a nice leg kick.
A jab from Bruno does it's job there.
Giordano Bruno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Giordano Bruno has been cut.
Mattos dips to his left and cracks Bruno with an uppercut!
Mattos connects with a looping right hand.
Mattos steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bruno.

and Mattos counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bruno thinking.
Mattos throws a right and a left that both miss.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bruno throws a lazy right hand but Mattos sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bruno closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Bruno is rocked!
Mattos lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bruno at a distance.
Mattos uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bruno.
Bruno just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromMattos .
Bruno throws a looping overhand right but Mattos ducks down to avoid it.
Mattos wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Bruno looks winded!
Mattos changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Mattos is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Bruno flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Bruno is out cold! Mattos holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
