Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Pettis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cletus Landry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Landry has chosen country boy as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Jeremy Pettis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Cletus Landry! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pettis slips a straight right by Landry. Landry closes the distance and clinches. Pettis wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Pettis breaks the clinch.
Pettis has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Cave Fighting Team in the buildup to the fight. Landry moves into range and clinches up with Pettis. Nice body punch from Pettis - that landed with a thud.
Landry tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Pettis avoids it. Knees to the body from Landry.
Landry misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Pettis.
Landry tries a knee to the head but Pettis blocks it.
Pettis is looking to break free of the clinch but Landry has double underhooks. Landry lands with a right to the head. Pettis wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Landry has him pressed against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Landry is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Pettis is defending well for now. Pettis lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Pettis breaks the clinch.
Landry scores with a jab. Pettis acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Landry throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pettis sees it coming and avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Landry tries to clinch but fails miserably and Pettis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Landry misses with a combination
and Pettis counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Landry struggles to land a body shot inside as Pettis controls his hands.
Landry swings wildly with an uppercut but Pettis uses good head movement to avoid it. Pettis is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Landry is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Pettis wants to get back to striking at distance but Landry won't allow it.
Landry lands with a right to the head. Landry lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Pettis is looking to break free of the clinch but Landry has double underhooks. Landry lands an elbow just above Pettis 's eye. Landry blocks an uppercut.
Pettis is trying to force a seperation but Landry has the dominant position. Landry lands a left hand.
Landry misses with a punch on the inside.
Landry misses with a knee strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pettis looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Landry crunches a lovely knee into Pettis's ribcage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Landry tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Pettis avoids it. Landry tries to land knees in the clinch but Pettis avoids the damage to the body. Landry blocking some punches.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Landry obliges. Landry lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Landry lands a damaging elbow. Pettis lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Pettis tries a body shot but Landry blocks it.
Landry tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Landry keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Pettis's efforts to push away. Pettis is looking to break free of the clinch but Landry has double underhooks. Pettis breaks from the clinch.
A low kick from Landry misses and Landry takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Landry throws a hook but Pettis avoids it easily. Landry swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A left lands for Landry. Landry lands a really nice looking cross but Pettis seems unphased.
Pettis is rocked! Landry darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Pettis's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Landry before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Cletus Landry! A very excited looking Cletus Landry made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
