Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Marsden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artie DeVanzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marsden comes to the cage accompanied by Feiticeira by Deftones. Artie DeVanzo is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
34 - 26 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brandon Marsden! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 16 - 1, fighting out of New York, Artie DeVanzo! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Richard Clark and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeVanzo checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Marsden throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Marsden looking to land some kicks to the body here.
DeVanzo drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Marsden defends it well. Marsden avoids the body shot from DeVanzo.
DeVanzo feints and then cracks Marsden's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Marsden down. Marsden lands with an uppercut that bounces DeVanzo off the cage and back into range. DeVanzo throws a hook but Marsden blocks it. Marsden looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. DeVanzo chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Marsden can pounce on him.

and Marsden counters with a straight right hand. Marsden with a nice cross. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that DeVanzo has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Marsden misses with a hook. DeVanzo ducked under it nicely. DeVanzo does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. DeVanzo throws a jab but it's blocked by Marsden. A chopping leg kick lands by DeVanzo. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. DeVanzo fails to land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. Marsden buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
DeVanzo ducks under a wild hook from Marsden. Marsden punishes DeVanzo's body with a nice straight punch. Marsden throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Marsden on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Marsden throws a looping overhand right but DeVanzo ducks down to avoid it. DeVanzo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
DeVanzo misses with a right hand and Marsden counters with a left to the body. DeVanzo keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Marsden misses with a straight left. The crowd cheers as Marsden lands an impressive looking overhand right. DeVanzo doesn't seem phased though. DeVanzo steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Marsden. Marsden tried to score with a low kick but DeVanzo checks it. Marsden fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. DeVanzo sprawls well initially but Marsden persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Marsden is thwarting DeVanzo's attempts to control the position. Marsden looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DeVanzo is staying active underneath Marsden, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. DeVanzo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Marsden scores with a couple of nice shots. DeVanzo won't allow Marsden to pass to mount. Marsden scoring with strikes to the body and head. Marsden trying to control the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Marsden missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Marsden thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marsden trying to control from DeVanzo's half guard. DeVanzo has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Marsden is looking to work some ground and pound but DeVanzo has wrist control. Marsden throws a strike but DeVanzo rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Marsden is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and DeVanzo defends well. Marsden is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. DeVanzo is aware though and is defending well. Marsden keeping moving, preventing DeVanzo from controlling successfully. DeVanzo showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. DeVanzo trying to control but Marsden is working from the bottom. DeVanzo is looking to work some ground and pound but Marsden has wrist control. DeVanzo trying to control but Marsden is working from the bottom. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. DeVanzo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Marsden has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, DeVanzo has managed to get both his arms back between Marsden's legs - danger averted. Marsden has his foot on DeVanzo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. DeVanzo works his way back into a safe position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brandon Marsden dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
DeVanzo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Marsden is looking to regain half guard here but DeVanzo keeps moving and retains side control. Marsden is working hard here to advance position. Marsden being controlled for a moment. Marsden is not content to let DeVanzo control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. DeVanzo in side control, just content to control the action for now. Marsden tries to get back to half guard but can't. DeVanzo trying to control the position but Marsden is working away. DeVanzo controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Marsden sneaks back into half guard. Marsden makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Marsden. DeVanzo controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Marsden has his foot on DeVanzo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. DeVanzo works his way back into a safe position though. Marsden is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. DeVanzo engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A bone on bone clash there as Marsden blocks the leg kick.
Marsden looks to score with a jab to the body but DeVanzo is just out of range. DeVanzo throws a low kick but Marsden moves out of range easily. DeVanzo tried to score with a low kick but Marsden checks it. Marsden moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Marsden is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that DeVanzo can do to turn this around? Marsden misses with a kick to the body.
Marsden throws the kick towards the body but DeVanzo avoids it. Marsden takes a swing at DeVanzo's ribcage but misses. DeVanzo misses with a head kick.
Marsden feinted there with a counter leg kick. DeVanzo wants to clinch and Marsden connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. DeVanzo scores with a leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marsden moves out of range of the body kick. Marsden lands with a shot to the body. Marsden clinches. DeVanzo prevents a body shot from Marsden. DeVanzo blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Marsden lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down DeVanzo. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Marsden lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Marsden throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing DeVanzo to regain full guard. DeVanzo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. DeVanzo is controlling Marsden's posture. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. DeVanzo trying to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Brandon Marsden will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
DeVanzo on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. DeVanzo slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. A right-left combo lands from DeVanzo.
It looks like Brandon Marsden has been cut. DeVanzo scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Brandon Marsden overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Marsden is trying to get back to half guard. Marsden manages to get back to half guard. DeVanzo is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. DeVanzo is looking to take a break and control but Marsden is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Marsden tries to get to full guard but DeVanzo has control of the leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marsden is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of DeVanzo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take DeVanzo's back! Marsden struggling to land strikes to the head as DeVanzo covers up. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Marsden somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Marsden punches the canvas rather than the man. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Marsden.
DeVanzo breaks Marsden's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Marsden has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. DeVanzo doesn't defend quickly enough and Marsden has managed to lock this one up! Can DeVanzo escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Marsden on a fantastic submission victory.

Post fight, an emotional Brandon Marsden said 'A weakling like you doesn't deserve fists to fight with, now go fade to nothingness!'.
