Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Loaf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santos Villavera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tommy Loaf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Santos Villavera!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Villavera connects with a nice short shot to Loaf's temple.
Villavera thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Loaf's head.
Loaf tries to roll over but Villavera keeps him under control.

Loaf is looking to land body kicks.
Loaf throws a half hearted mid kick.
Villavera fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Loaf is out of range.
Villavera shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Loaf but Loaf pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Villavera closes the distance and clinches up with Loaf, looking for a takedown. Villavera pushes Loaf against the cage but Loaf circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Loaf takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Villavera tries to roll over but Loaf keeps him under control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Villavera thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Loaf stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Villavera swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Villavera is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Villavera thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Villavera wants to sweep here but Loaf controlling him for the moment.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Villavera ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Loaf moves away.
Villavera gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Loaf counters with a single leg into guard. Villavera didn't expect that.
Tommy Loaf has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Santos Villavera.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Villavera shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Villavera was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Loaf tries to hold on but Villavera pushes him away.
Villavera is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Loaf can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Loaf tries to clinch but Villavera is having none of it.

Villavera shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Loaf pinned against the cage. Loaf gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Loaf feints and as Villavera raises his hands in defense, Loaf changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Loaf slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Villavera is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Loaf slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
