Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Havasu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denis Gotsov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Havasu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Denis Gotsov! The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Chris Dean and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Havasu shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gotsov's guard. Gotsov pushes Havasu off and gets back to his feet.
Havasu wants to clinch up but Gotsov keeps it at a distance. Gotsov appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Gotsov shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Havasu looks to land a combination but Gotsov avoids it well. Gotsov is looking for the big counter here. Havasu clinches up against the cage. Gotsov has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Havasu is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Gotsov has Havasu pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Havasu manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Havasu stops a takedown attempt from Gotsov.
Mike Havasu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Denis Gotsov. Havasu breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Havasu thows a leg kick but Gotsov checks it and Gotsov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Havasu's guard. Gotsov won't allow Havasu to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gotsov trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Havasu wants to stand up but Gotsov is controlling him. Havasu on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Havasu tries to get out of the position. Gotsov with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Gotsov pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Havasu is keeping the position for now. Gotsov throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Havasu wants to get back to his feet but Gotsov is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Gotsov lands a couple of decent looking shots. Gotsov with a nice head shot there. Gotsov is looking to work some ground and pound but Havasu has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gotsov lands a couple of digs. Havasu is controlling Gotsov's posture. Havasu wants to stand but Gotsov is controlling the position. Gotsov trying to control the position from guard on top but Havasu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gotsov content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Gotsov is fighting to break Havasu's control of his arms but Havasu is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Gotsov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Gotsov pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Havasu is keeping the position for now. Gotsov landing some decent shots from guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Havasu tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Gotsov defends well and Havasu ends up having to push Gotsov into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Gotsov with the counter takedown but Havasu avoids it easily. Havasu pushes Gotsov up against the cage in a clinch. Havasu is defending well against a takedown attempt. Havasu gets underhooks to prevent Gotsov's takedown attempt.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Havasu stops a takedown attempt from Gotsov.

Denis Gotsov dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Gotsov tries to keep at a distance but Havasu has taken the fight into the clinch. Havasu gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Havasu prevents Gotsov from improving his position. Gotsov looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Havasu is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gotsov sees it coming and defends easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gotsov actively working from the bottom here. Gotsov on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Havasu thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gotsov's head. Gotsov actively working from the bottom here. Gotsov is looking to get back to full guard here but Havasu has managed to pass to side control instead. Havasu tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Gotsov tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Havasu presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Havasu tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment. Havasu with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Havasu wants to control the pace but Gotsov is squirming around nicely. Havasu prevents Gotsov from getting the reversal. Havasu breaks from Gotsov's wrist control and lands an elbow. Havasu lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Gotsov hang on? Gotsov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Havasu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Gotsov is trying to reverse the position but instead Havasu has taken his back - oops! Havasu has Gotsov flattened out and is raining down punches. Gotsov is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gotsov is trying to get back to his feet but Havasu has full control of the position and if anything, Gotsov has just worked his way into a worse spot. Havasu is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Gotsov knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Gotsov for a finish. Havasu not allowing Gotsov to control his hands. Gotsov is breathing heavily. Gotsov can't escape the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Havasu biding his time, controlling Gotsov. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Havasu closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gotsov circles away. Gotsov drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Havasu defends it well. Havasu thows a leg kick but Gotsov checks it and Gotsov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Havasu is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Gotsov wants to control from the top but Havasu keeps moving. Havasu throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Havasu wants to get back to his feet but Gotsov is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Gotsov looking to sit in guard and control but Havasu gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Havasu postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gotsov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Havasu gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Havasu postures up in Gotsov's guard and throws a big left but Gotsov blocks it. Gotsov thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Gotsov working for a triangle but Havasu defends it easily.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Gotsov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Havasu fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Havasu shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gotsov as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Havasu. That's going to take a lot out of him. Havasu tries to close the distance and clinch but Gotsov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Havasu finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Gotsov looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. A clash of legs there as Gotsov blocks the low kick. Gotsov changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Havasu tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gotsov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Havasu somewhat. Havasu shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gotsov defends it nicely. Gotsov is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Havasu fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Gotsov is out of range. Havasu changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gotsov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Havasu is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gotsov has escaped the position, nice work there. Havasu working away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Denis Gotsov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Havasu is looking to take a break and control but Gotsov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Denis Gotsov. I think Gotsov has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
