Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gene Tunney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dimitri Shaforostov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shaforostov has chosen Let it sleep as his entrance music. Tunney has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gene Tunney! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dimitri Shaforostov! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shaforostov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Shaforostov shoots for a takedown but Tunney saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Shaforostov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tunney but Tunney pushes him off and we're back to square one. Tunney tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Shaforostov manages to circle out of the way. Tunney moves into range and clinches up with Shaforostov. Shaforostov blocks an elbow strike from Tunney.
Tunney gets through Shaforostov's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Shaforostov blocks a body shot from Tunney. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shaforostov is trying to maintain a safe position but Tunney gets an underhook and turns Shaforostov into the cage. Tunney lands a shoulder strike. Tunney lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Shaforostov is rocked! Shaforostov is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Shaforostov is still on wobbly legs! Can Tunney finish him? Tunney misses with a punch on the inside.
A head punch on the inside from Tunney fails to land. Tunney misses with the head strike.
Tunney definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Tunney misses with a short punch on the inside. Tunney creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops Shaforostov! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for Tunney.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gene Tunney! Gene Tunney seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
